The writer Enrique Torre Bolado on Tuesday presented his latest book, 'Oruña 1963-2000. News Local Life ', in a ceremony to be held from seven thirty pm at the Oxford Bridge Restaurant Arce.
This is the second part of a copyright work that began several years compiling all the news articles on Oruña mid to late twentieth century and reflects the changing situations and events that happen in people's daily life.
As reported by the City Council in a press release, during the presentation Enrique Torre's book will be accompanied by the mayor of Piélagos, Jesus Angel Pacheco Bárcena, the head of Editions Tantin, José Luis Fernandez, Professor of History at the University of Cantabria José Manuel Iglesias and vice president of the Bowling Federation of Cantabria, José Ángel Hoyos. Bolado was born July 7, 1955 in Oruña. He currently teaches in the specialty of Therapeutic Education at school Gerardo Diego de Santa Maria de Cayon and four years ago is village headman of Oruña.
is author or coauthor of eleven books and this is the room dedicated to his hometown. The first two relate to the story Village and now presents the second part of an earlier, intended to reflect the most important aspects of society Oruña in the second half of the twentieth century.

There are also articles on the festival of San Antón, the Virgen del Carmen, San Cipriano and Santa Eulalia, the pilgrimages, the swimming in the Pas, bowling (the creation of the holist Oruña Peña), tourism, etc.. Thus, through more than 500 pages, makes a route chart and written about the life of the residents of Oruña at that time.
